The City of La Feria held its General Election to elect three City Commission seats today, Saturday, May 10, 2014.  There were seven candidates running as follows:  City Commission Position 3, Lori Weaver (incumbent) and Olga Hinojosa Maldonado; City Commission Position 4, Dr. Mario Sanchez, Julian Guevara, Jr., and Randy Sowers (Position 4 was the vacant position after Commissioner Victor Gonzalez, Jr. was elected Mayor in a Special Election on January 25, 2014); City Commission Position 5, Angelica P. Baldivia (incumbent) and Esmeralda Lozano.

The voters have spoken and the unofficial results show that the winners are:  City Commission Position 3, Olga Hinojosa Maldonado; City Commission Position 4, Julian Guevara, Jr.; and City Commission Position 5, Esmeralda Lozano.  Congratulations to all the winners and residents for exercising their vote!
