The La Feria Municipal Court is holding an Amnesty period from May 12, 2014 thru June 6, 2014 for the payment of fines.  During this time, the Municipal court will DISMISS the “Failure to Appear” charge on defendants who have failed to appear before the Court PROVIDED THE DEFENDANT PAYS ALL FINES AND FEES IN FULL IMMEDIATELY.  The amount dismissed for the “Failure to Appear” charge may be up to $374.08.

To qualify for Amnesty, the defendant must 1) appear before the court in person or in writing during the dates above; 2) enter a plea of “Guilty” or “No Contest”; 3) PAY ALL FINES AND FEES IN FULL IMMEDIATELY.

If you are currently on a Payment Plan and you pay the original violations and fees during the Amnesty Period, you may qualify for the Amnesty.  If you need a Payment Plan, the Court will schedule you to see the Judge at a later date after the Amnesty.
